You might be familiar with the Halo Gypsum and Voli Gypsum Long and Short from previous releases, but we’d like to formally introduce the Gypsum Globe, a modernisation of the 70’s boob lamp.
While the definite origins of the flush-mounted dome light -unofficially named the boob lamp- are still pretty much shrouded in mystery, they seem to have originated around the 1890s, when electricity was slowly becoming mainstream, according to archi“The flush dome look [...] actually goes back at least to the 1890s and was originally used in situations where a low ceiling height prevented longer fixtures."

Besides being used as a downlight, the Gypsum Globe can be mounted on false walls as a decorative wall light
The Gypsum Globe can be perched anywhere with false walls installed, expanding placement options from just the ceiling as a standard downlight, to any wall as a unique sconce with minimalist design sensibilities. One such feature is the dim-to-warm effect, which provides users with the flexibility of adjusting the dimness and warmth of their luminaires, which can be set to a Correlated Colour Temperature setting of 1800K to 3000K. Even when illuminating at 1800K via a soft glow, the Gypsum Globe is able to amply illuminate spaces due to its integration of Chip-On-Board (COB) LED technology, which provides a higher amount of high-quality lumen output when switched on.
