From concept to creation, the newest addition to the Sol Luminaire® retail portfolio, 397, was always meant to be more than just a showroom. Nestled between the elegant intimacy of the Sol Luminaire® flagship store and the experimental fervour of the LAB2.1, the new address symbolises a seamless dialogue between practicality and provocation.
Over 15 and 16 May 2025, 397 was the site for Paragons of Light, a two-day celebration that saw clients, collaborators, and members of the design community coming together to commemorate this new era on Guillemard Road.
397 was also the stage where the latest additions to the Sol Luminaire’s AEON® series made their debut. From the elegant Blobby and the petite Pressed, to the familiar-yet-new Nocte and geometric Fluted Globula, invitees got to experience these luminaires for the first time ever.
Kicking things off on 15 May was an industry panel talk moderated by Asih Jenie, Editor of Tatler Homes Singapore. The evening brought together a diverse group of architects, interior designers, lighting advisors, and creative thinkers.
The dialogue featured Leong Hon Kit and Si Jian Xin, Co-founders of Wynk Collective; Rei Ye, Co-founder and Principal of Typeface; and Edmund Ho, sales manager of Sol Luminaire®. Together, they unpacked timely topics across architectural lighting, material usage, and spatial storytelling.
The following day, which was also the International Day of Light, marked the official launch of 397. Guests from the industry were invited to explore the three interconnected zones of the new space, each offering a unique perspective on how lighting can enhance the everyday.
As a token of appreciation, each guest received a goodie bag with the new Boba Table Lamp—a compact yet characterful luminaire that reflects the Sol Luminaire® ethos of intentional design—and a miniature table lamp printed by Sonogo.
Throughout the evening, guests also got to experience a live demonstration by Sonogo, personalise their own leather trays at the Stone for Gold station, and create their own custom room sprays at the Mira Scent Bar.
