Sol Luminaire Celebrates Women with AWARE Singapore this International Women’s Week

This week, the world celebrates International Women’s Week, commemorating the many achievements and accomplishments of women, and supporting ongoing causes for gender equality. 

The world of lighting and interior design is still primarily a male-dominated field. We asked Sheena Wong, Assistant Gallery Manager of Sol Luminare if she has advice for female bud"The most important person to me is my mom, as she always advises me that women are capable of doing the same, or even better, " shares Sheena Wong, Assistant Manager of Sol Luminaireding designers or lighting specialists. She advises, “be confident, and speak up for yourself when encountering difficult situations. AWARE envisions a society built on true gender equality, achieved by breaking down gender-based barriers in order to “allow individuals in Singapore to develop their potential to the fullest and realise their personal visions and hopes.” Deeply inspired by AWARE’s mission, we’ve decided to play a part in making this vision a reality.

CLARA by a by arturo alvarez is named after Clara Campoamor, a luminary for women’s rights in the late 19th and 20th century, and the first woman to address the right for women to vote in Spain.
