In interior design, every detail matters. But rather than filling a home with everything under the sun, Crumbs Interior champions discernment and personalisation as the keys to a well-designed space. This fledgling firm prides itself on eschewing rigid themes, instead piecing together diverse elements to craft homes as unique as their clients.
For our final Sol Meets of the year, we spoke with Levonne Chan, founder and lead designer of Crumbs Interior, to explore her design philosophy, favourite luminaires, and aspirations for 2025.

What’s the story behind the name Crumbs?
We believe that interior design is about putting together different elements that complement each other and it's also what makes our clients’ home special. We also like to add personal touches to our designs and do not typically design houses based on a specific theme. What we like is mixing and matching different ideas, so every home we build is different and unique to our client’s preferences.
Hence the tagline “Crumbs that fit”, and the name Crumbs Interior.
Describe Crumbs’ style in 3 words.
Chic, diverse, and pragmatic
What’s your favourite aspect of your work?
Seeing what we’ve planned and designed come to life is pretty satisfying!
What’s the best way homeowners can show off their personality through lighting?
We believe that not every corner of a home needs to be brightly lit but rather we focus on areas that the homeowners will use. Decorative lights should also be used as features around the house (i.e. wall lights and pendant lights) which contributes to giving the home a unique personality.
What are some of your favourite luminaires from Sol Luminaire?
We love the Isa V3 as it has different colour trim finishes, allowing our clients to match the luminaire to the theme of their home. It’s also recessed which makes it less glaring from a distance. Plus the way the light shines down is more targeted, giving the area a different ambience.
The Voli is also one of our favourites, as it can be directed from different angles. Its dim-to-warm function is unique as homeowners can have the flexibility to decide on the type of ambience they’d like on different occasions.
There’s also the Boba luminaire which acts as a feature piece for different spaces. Its versatile design can also fit into many different homes we’ve designed.
What’s an interior design style you’d love to execute in 2025?
We love colours and the mix of different elements and themes, so I’d say Bauhaus!
Where do you get your inspiration from?
I scroll a lot on Pinterest and Instagram and save designs that catch my eye or have unique details and features that I want to explore doing for my clients. All these are also inspirations for me to incorporate them into my future designs.
What were some goals that Crumbs hit in 2024, and what are some milestones you’d like to hit in the coming year?
Being a small startup, the Crumbs team has grown bigger this year and gained more recognition in the market. We’re looking forward to building a stronger bond within our team, growing not just by numbers but knowledge in interior design together as a team, and gaining even more recognition!
