'Tomorrow's Home' — A Utopian Space in Homage to Singapore's 57th Birthday

Were you expecting robots, overhead drones and hologram-everything? We were thinking quite the opposite. In ‘𝙏𝙤𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙬'𝙨 𝙃𝙤𝙢𝙚’, we dream up a tranquil and contemplative space for Singaporeans to live in. Each luminaire from AEON and our brand partners Makhno Studio and Frédéric Saulou are carefully selected for its representation of new perspectives, cultural significance and timeless design.

Singapore’s national flower Vanda Miss Joaquim Orchid are now home plants you can garden indoors. Dining tables are reimagined as communal HDB void deck tables in full concrete — revealing the raw architectural style as occupants coexists with nature’s blooms.

Biophilic design is present throughout, reconnecting human with nature through the integration of natural materials, organic textures and flora. The Khmara lamp by Makhno Studio transcends time — its bulbous, voluminous form mimics fluffy clouds bringing nature closer to you.

The modernised ‘hole-in-the-wall’ HDB feature evokes a meditative quality when looking out into the iconic Bedok Jetty, originally built in 1960, outfitted with AEON’s weather-resistant Cube Bollard luminaires.

Instead of going through your ritual of mindless scrolling while lounging on your couch, try going for a relaxing walk outdoors to appreciate the stillness of nature that serves as a reminder for mindful living. The ethereal glow of llll by Sarah Dehandschutter sculptural LED floor lamp disperses through a warp-knit Polyester Tricot material, adding a dreamlike quality to the fictional space.

The bedroom — a safe and sacred space captures the essence of one's internal world.  The VULYK ceramic pendant light by Makhno Studio is the future of dream catchers, designed as a hive of light to capture nostalgic childhood memories, safeguarding your best kept secrets.

Keep a piece of artefact with the objet d art Medicis mirror by Frédéric Saulou , a lesson in Post-Industrial history formed with slate material and ornamental stones.

If you could craft your own 𝙏𝙤𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙬'𝙨 𝙃𝙤𝙢𝙚, what would it look like? Create an ageless space for your homes with featured luminaires, available for viewing at Galerie 5, 50 Craig Road.
