On the evening of 25th October, design aficionados, tastemakers, and the who’s who of Singapore’s interior design landscape came together to celebrate the official opening of Rooms by Sol Luminaire®. The evening soiree was one for the books as it not only marked the dawn of a new era along Balestier Road, but also the partnership between Sol Luminaire® and the eight partner vendors that can now call a new home in Rooms.
In light of the event’s proximity to Halloween, guests were served a myriad of sweet and savoury treats with a spooky twist. Scoops of ice cream were also available if anyone still had a sweet tooth to satiate.
The launch of Rooms by Sol Luminaire® also marks the first time that brands like Ornate+, Futurahaus, KKPL, Vasari/Noble Surfaces, Oculus Collective, SPIN Fans, Caerus Electric, and Sol Luminaire® AEON are all in the same space under one roof. But rather than experiencing these brands from afar or even distantly online, Rooms is set up in an immersive way that encourages close up interaction from visitors that come visit in person.
Over at the Ornate+ booth, guests can touch the material and finishing of signature products like their glass bricks. They can also feel the textured walls at the nearby Noble Surfaces, or experience first-hand the different oak grains from SPIN.
For more tactile encounters, guests could give the KKPL kitchen and cabinet systems a test drive, or discover Futurahaus’ smart home control capabilities, and explore Oculus Collective’s various door systems and configurations.
Finally, the booths were beautifully lit by two new decorative luminaires, Magnetite and Pulp, making their debut at the launch of Rooms.
Beyond the nibbles, tipples, and perusing of the vendors’ collections, attendees could also try their luck at the gashapon machine that doled out prizes. Vibes for the evening were also provided by DJ Chloe Choo spinning the decks by the Ornate+ displays, and guests could also capture memories of the launch by way of the 360 camera booth.
You can now visit Rooms by Sol Luminaire® at 400 Balestier Road, #01-28/38.
